- “On October 27, 2023, the firm was notified by the Food & Drug Administration that the dog food test positive for Salmonella. Salmonella can affect animals eating the products and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products.”1

- “The potential contamination was noted by a routine sampling conducted by the State of West Virginia on products which were further distributed by Utopia’s customers bearing expiration date 10/26/2023. The products tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.”3
