- 8/9/25 – Drugs – OTC antiseptic lotion soaps, external analgesics, antimicrobial foam soaps, and antiseptic cleansers – Contamination with Burkholderia cepacia.
- “Risk Statement: Burkholderia Cepacia Complex in these products may result in serious and life-threatening infections. The contaminated products may be used by immunosuppressed individuals or by people attending to immunosuppressed individuals. In healthy individuals with minor skin lesions the use of the product will more likely result in local infections, whereas in immunocompromised individuals the infection is more likely to spread into blood stream leading to life-threatening sepsis. To date, DermaRite has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.” 1
- 8/6/25 – Food & Beverage – Cookies and Cream Ice Cream – Undeclared wheat and soy allergens.
- “The voluntary recall was initiated after it was discovered that a limited quantity of Cookies & Cream ice cream was mistakenly packaged in a Friendly’s Vanilla Bean ice cream cartons that did not identify the soy and wheat ingredients. No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported.” 2
- 8/5/25 – Food & Beverage – Red Bliss Potato Salad – Undeclared wheat.
- “The recall was initiated after it was discovered that 66 containers of Tricolor Twist Pasta Salad were mislabeled with the incorrect top label. While the front label correctly identifies the product, the top label misrepresents it as Red Bliss Potato Salad. The actual product contains wheat, which is not declared on the top label.” 3
