- 4/13/24 – Animal & Veterinary, Animal Feed – Meat bird 22% Crumble (RV) – Non-inclusion of Vitamin D.
- “Cargill’s animal nutrition business is conducting a voluntary recall of Nutrena® Country Feeds® Meat bird 22% Crumble (RV) due to non-inclusion of Vitamin D. Lack of Vitamin D in meat bird diets can lead to mineral deficiencies and bone issues, including rickets in growing birds. Symptoms include lameness and rubbery bones.” 1

- “The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a product containing sesame and wheat didn’t include the full ingredient breakdown on the ingredient panel.” 2

- “The recall was initiated after the company received one (1) consumer report of an adverse reaction to gluten. As a result of this incident, Feel Good Foods is immediately recalling the product and is implementing measures to prevent reoccurrence.” 4
- 4/11/24 – Animal & Veterinary – Chicken, Swine and Rabbit Feed Products – Specific lots may contain elevated levels of magnesium, sodium, calcium and/or phosphorus.
- “Elevated levels of sodium can cause increased water consumption, reduced feed efficiency, egg production, and growth rate and can be fatal in chickens. Elevated levels of calcium and/or phosphorus can cause reduced feed intake and feed conversion in swine, and elevated levels of magnesium and sodium can cause loose stools, reduced growth rate, and weakness in rabbits.” 5

- “The recall was initiated after it was discovered by a Distributor that product containing sesame was labeled in packaging that did not reveal the presence of sesame.” 6
- 4/10/24 – Dietary Supplements, Food & Beverages – Tejocote Dietary Supplements – Product contains toxic yellow oleander.
- “The recall was the result of a routine sampling program by the company which revealed that the finished products contained the yellow oleander. The company has ceased the production and distribution of the product as the company continues their investigation as to what caused the problem. Further the company is conducting comprehensive quality control and monitoring process.” 7

- During the filling of the cups the incorrect label was applied to the back of the product. During routine documentation review the error was discovered by Quality Assurance.” 8

- “A supplier to Baron Spices, Inc sent a replacement ingredient and did not disclose that it included allergens. The replacement ingredient contained soy and wheat whereas the original product did not contain either allergen.” 9

- “The recall was initiated after Belgian Yummies and the Florida Department of Agriculture discovered during an inspection that the product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of wheat, soy, egg, coconut and/or peanuts and FD&C Yellow #5. The problem was caused by outdated labels being used during the packaging process.” 10

- “Northfield, Ill., Apr. 5, 2024 – In direct response to the Nurse Assist, LLC voluntary product recall initiated on November 6, 2023, for saline and sterile water medical products, Medline Industries, LP initiated a nationwide recall on November 15, 2023, for its Medline and Centurion branded convenience kits containing Nurse Assist 0.9% Sodium Chloride Irrigation USP and Sterile Water for Irrigation USP. The Nurse Assist recall was issued due to the potential for a lack of sterility, which could result in non-sterile products.” 11
