  • 5/3/24 – Food & Beverage – Potato Chip Mini Chocolate Bar – Undeclared Hazelnuts.
    • “The recall was initiated after it was discovered hazelnuts were inadvertently added to the product during manufacturing and the lot produced was distributed in packaging that does not reveal the presence of hazelnuts. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by cross contamination on a piece of share equipment.” 1
  • 5/3/24 – Food & Beverage – Honey Roasted Peanuts and Deluxe Lightly Salted Mixed Nuts – Potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
    • “AUSTIN, Minn. (May 3, 2024) – Hormel Foods Sales, LLC is voluntarily recalling a limited number of two PLANTERS® products that were produced at one of its facilities in April. This recall only impacts two retailers in five states. These products are being recalled because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.” 2
  • 4/30/24 – Food & Beverage – California Shelled Walnuts, Organic Light Halves and Pieces – Due to potential Escherichia coli 0157:H7 (E. coli) contamination.
    • “Gibson Farms, Inc. has voluntarily recalled the product(s) after being notified by the CDC of 12 recorded illnesses allegedly linked to the consumption of organic halves and pieces shelled walnuts. A full investigation is currently under way to determine the potential source of the contamination.” 3
  • 4/29/24 – Food & Beverage – Creamy Creations ice cream – Potential presence of metal fragments.
    • “Committed to the safety and quality of its products, H-E-B is voluntarily issuing a recall for 12-count packages of 3-ounce cups of Creamy Creations ice cream in select flavors for potential metal. The affected products were distributed to all H-E-B stores in Texas and Mexico and Central Market, Joe V’s Smart Shop, and Mi Tienda stores.” 4

  • 5/2/24 – Food – Raw pork chorizo products – May be contaminated with a foreign material, specifically hard plastic and metal.
    • “The problem was discovered after the firm notified FSIS that it had received a consumer complaint reporting that pieces of hard plastic and metal were found in the raw pork chorizo product.” 5
  • 5/1/24 – Food – Approximately 16,243 pounds of raw ground beef products – May be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7.
    • “The establishment reported the issue to FSIS after they identified that previously segregated product had been inadvertently utilized in the production of ground beef.” 6
