  • 5/3/25 – Food & Beverage – Tomatoes – Potential Foodborne Illness – Salmonella
    • “Hanshaw & Capling Farms initiated the recall due to the possible presence of Salmonella in their facility.” 1
  • 5/2/25 – Food & Beverage – Tomatoes – Potential Foodborne Illness – Salmonella.
    • “On April 29, 2025, the firm was notified via telephone by Southeast Tomato Distributors that tomatoes supplied from H&C Farms may be contaminated with Salmonella.” 2
  • 5/1/25 – Food & Beverage – Monkfish Liver – Potential or Undeclared Allergen – Milk.
    • “The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing the milk protein was in packaging that did not properly label the presence of milk.” 3
  • 4/29/25 – Male Enhancement Dietary Supplements – Undeclared Chloropretadalafil, Propoxyphenylsildenafil, Sildenafil.
    • “Laboratory analysis has found the products to be tainted with chloropretadalafil, propoxyphenylsildenafil, and sildenafil. Sildenafil is an ingredient in FDA approved products for treatment of male erectile dysfunction in the family of drugs known as phosphodiesterase (PDE-5) inhibitors. Chloropretadalafil and propoxyphenylsildenafil are analogues of PDE-5 inhibitors and are likely to carry the same clinical risks. Products containing chloropretadalafil, propoxyphenylsildenafil, and sildenafil cannot be marketed as dietary supplements. These products are unapproved new drugs for which safety and efficacy have not been established and, therefore, subject to recall” 4
  • 4/29/25 – Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon – Potential or Undeclared Allergen – Milk.
    • “A limited quantity of Trader Joe’s Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon is voluntarily being recalled because the topping packet may potentially contain an undeclared milk allergen.” 5

USDA

  • 5/2/25 – Food – Ready-to-Eat Prosciutto – Without Benefit of Import Reinspection.
    • “The problem was discovered when a federal establishment notified FSIS that they shipped the sliced prosciutto that was not presented for FSIS import reinspection. 6
  • 5/1/25 – Food – Bismillah Halal Meats Ground Beef – Possible E.coli 0103 Contamination.
    • “The problem was discovered when a sample was collected and analyzed by FSIS during retail surveillance and the sampling results showed the presence of coli O103. There have been no confirmed reports of illness due to consumption of these products.” 7
  • 5/1/25 – Food – Pork Crackling Products – Ineligible.
    • “The problem was discovered when FSIS was performing routine surveillance activities at two retailers and found meat products from Colombia that are not eligible to be exported to the U.S.” 8
