Between March 16–23, 2025, three Class 1 food recalls were announced—two by the FDA and one by the USDA. Two of these recalls (67%) were related to foreign material contamination: wood found in frozen meals and metal detected in beef stick products. In this video, I walk through what went wrong and share actionable strategies to help manufacturers strengthen controls, improve detection systems, and build a stronger culture of prevention.
